WE HAVE PROUDLY BEEN WORKING WITH MARATHON WATCH COMPANY FOR FIVE YEARS. We are all watch guys here at Full Metal Jacket and that's never been a secret around these parts. As we were deciding to grow the business in 2021 with a new website and a new store front, we were drawn to carrying some sort of middle of the road watch that everyone would like to wear regardless of background. The firearms and military industries have a long standing fascination of time keeping with blogs like Watches of Espionage exploding in recent years, and Marathon has been a keynote in that discussion. There has always been a need for a tool watch for the most strenuous users and Marathon is one of the golden standards in that realm.
Marathon has been a long standing military tradition remaining as one of the only issued watches to US Military units. Most all of their watches have a NSN (NATO Stock Number) assigned and can be purchased through GSA. We have personally bought vintage General Purpose Mechanical watches over the counter from the 80's and 90's that were issued to various service members. Almost all unit CIF and purchasing agents have the ability to order almost everything in their catalog from Navy Rescue Swimmers having access to GSAR models to Air Force CCTs getting the popular TSAR.

There are many instances of military "influencers" such as Mike Jones (Garand Thumb) being a long time user of the brand back to his time serving with AFSOC. We have had multiple customer interactions with pilots and land operators who were familiar with the brand due to being issued them during their careers. Many have noted that the watches are robust and stand the test of time. There is truly something to be said when people are able to deploy with one watch over and over again for multiple years of their career.

Marathon Watches feature Swiss Movements opposed to many micro brands choosing the cheaper and also reliable Seiko movements. All of Marathon's Automatic offerings are manufactured in Switzerland with the Sellita SW-200-1 Automatic movement for a very precise time keeping tool. Their Quartz offerings feature the ETA F06.412 HeavyDrive-PreciDrive Quartz movement which is also a phenomenal option for those that like the classic "ticking". Marathon does not only need to be worn by pipe-hitter types as these watches can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
