Beyond Clothing Cold Fusion Level 5 PCU Pants

This is a L5 Soft Shell pant from Beyond. The trousers are fleece lined and wind and water resistant. They are made a of a stretchy material that aids in movement. The waist pockets are zippered. At the side of the waist the pants have a zipper to aid in putting the pants on over other layers and the cuffs are also zippered for aiding in putting on over boots. There are suspender points at the waist for compatible suspenders, suspenders not included. There are no back pockets. These are a great warm protective outer layer pant for cold weather.

Features:

• Front Pocket – This item has front pocket(s).
• Pant Cargo Pockets – Has large pockets for bulky items on the pants legs.
• 1/4 Length Pant Leg Zipper – Pants legs have a 1/4 length zipper from the bottom. This aides when donning and doffing the pants while wearing shoes.
• Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer.
• Fleece Lining – Garment is lined in fleece for insulation.
• Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure.
• ECWCS Level 5 – This layer consists of a soft shell jacket and trouser set that is meant to be worn in a moderate to cold conditions and over thermal layers or the standard uniform. The jacket and trousers are low bulk, wind and water resistant, and cut to allow for good mobility while remaining lightweight.
• SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
