The FLC has been issued to most branches over the last 20+ years and we just can't let it go. The FLCC was originally designed to be worn over the older OTV Interceptor body armor and remains unchanged since it first came to be.
This is the version fielded by the United States Marines in their signature Coyote Brown color although the US Army has also adopted coyote to pair with OCP/Scorpion pouches. Marked with a big "U.S." on the right shoulder strap so you know people are friendly, or something like that.
The FLC is perfect for basic load carrying with plenty MOLLE real estate for a plethora of pouches and stuff like the trusty MRE spoon.
