The M50 Gas Mask is one of the newest gas masks the US military gets (of course there's the FM53 but those are still relatively uncommon on the civilian market. The M50 is made by Avon Protection which is a premier PPE brand used by militaries and police around the world for a long time.
Although in use by most units, the M50 Gas Mask is now considered to be a generation old yet most of the military branches only have M50s. We'd say the M50 is current issue but there's always one mouth breather yelling in the corner that the FM53 exists.

These are made of durable rubber but rubber tends to dry rot over time. It'd probably be fine in a SHTF scenario or ok in a prepper's basement but we cannot guarantee that these are perfect.
