Here's a true Unicorn nowadays. During early experimentation with fabrics like Gore-Tex, many companies were contracted by Natick Labs and the US Military to produce outerwear for trials and testing by special forces and other designated units. As we know, these became adopted by all branches of the military and variations are still used today by multiple countries and every branch of the US military. While these are not marked as made by "The North Face" it is marked with the company's old address and these are well documented as such.
The Pants are still new and unworn with the original "XL" sticker being on one pant leg. The parka is lightly used with some very minor wear on the cuffs. These are both marked XL and we'd say these are true XL and not the "80's version of XL". Many speculate that lot 001 was manufactured in February or April of 1984, we're not sure how true that is.
The Jacket does have the previous owner's name on the label. We will not be altering this and covering it up nor will we share pictures of that prior to purchase. The label in the jacket is identical to the one pictured which is the label from the pants.
