The US Army Issue Integrated Head Protection System (IHPS) is one of the newest helmets used by the United States Army. The IHPS was introduced in 2019 as a Level IIIA helmets that offers fragmentation, ballistic and impact protection, at a lower weight and more adjustable when compared to the ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet). It has recently been replaced by the newer NGIHPS (Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System) which have improved on this generation's design making this version "Obsolete". These ship new in the factory packaging as a complete system including an OCP helmet cover, rail mounts, front NVG mount, adjustable chin strap fit system, and interior pads.
