The Patagonia Level 5 Soft Shell Jacket is a versatile lightweight garment used in the Special Operation Forces (SOF) like Navy Seals. It is made from an encapsulated micro fiber fabric that is breathable, water-repellent and windproof making it an excellent candidate for a variety of conditions. The Level 5 jacket is arguably the most popular and desirable option from the line up that Patagonia had offered. 

Meant to be the wind-resistant layer you put on top of your cammies, the level 5 still boasts the features of a standalone layer that performs excellently in tons of climates. Featuring breathable microfiber, the tops are just warm enough for summer and fall use without the sweatiness of the typical nylon ripstop material most tops use. 

Made to be mobile, you'll notice a looser fit than most other jackets. This is normal because the PCU is meant to be layered on top of other equipment. 

Patagonia discontinued production of the MARS system as they have forfeited all contracts to Forgeline Solutions.
