The USMC TAPS Chest rig is a staple in modern USGI equipment. The TAPS is now issued (although slightly different designs) to both the US Army and Marine Corps. . The Tactical Assault Panel System (TAPS) replaces the Fighting Load Carrier to allow quick-release of equipment in emergencies. The TAPS is compatible with the quick release system of the MTV, IMTV and Gen 4 IMTV and SPCS plate carriers issued to the Marine Corps and can be worn stand alone. These are easily the best value chest rig available on the market in our opinion.
