One of the most useful yet useless items the US Government ever contracted out was the PVS-14 magnifier. The NVG Magnifier is a screw on or slip on magnifier for your PVS14 or PVS7. These were particularly helpful on weapon mounted PVS-14s but do not have a reticle or anything else. It's literally just a magnifier. That said, you can take some pretty sick astrophotography using one of these bad boys so don't be discouraged.
